The College provides a pick-up from the airport service for newly arrived Students. Students need to inform the College whether they require to make use of this service during the Application procedure.
The College is responsible to assist new Students, or even existing ones who are relocating, to secure safe accommodation in a reasonable price
The handbook is handed to all new Students during their first registration. The handbook includes all necessary information a Student needs to know.
The Orientation Day for new Students is organized on the last day before the beginning of classes. The date is announced in the Academic calendar of the current semester and published on the announcement board, the College website and Prospectus. A second Orientation Day may be organized for those Students who arrive late, and it’s usually some day after the late enrolment date. The College establishes a close relationship with each new Student and orients them to its practices. The Student Welfare & Activities Office follows Student progress regularly and guides them throughout the semester.
The College is responsible for the wellbeing of Students and helps them adjust to their new life, manage stress, resolve conflicts, deal with personal problems or face any challenges. Students can discuss matters related to their studies, progress and private life on an individual basis. In cases where the progress of a Student is handicapped due to special circumstances, a personal approach is adopted when assisting them to overcome the problem.
The College is committed to offering high quality inclusive education, and attaches great importance to treating all Students with respect and care. The Students Welfare & Activities Office and the Academic Office are responsible for helping Students with disabilities adjust to CTL Student life. Special arrangements are made if required during lectures and / or Examinations.
The College offers a variety of activities that promote wellbeing and enhance lifelong skills. It provides intramural and extramural opportunities to all its Students. Recreational activities include: Football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, bowling, hiking, water sports, cycling, skiing, snorkelling, fishing, scuba diving, dancing, chess, backgammon These activities are offered based on the interests of Students and weather conditions.
The College is responsible for providing information regarding employment resources available to Students. The College policy is to encourage and support Students, and put them in contact with appropriate fields of industry for meaningful, structured and focused training experience, related to their academic coursework Programme. This experience will align Students' career goals and objectives with existing and emerging occupations for work-based learning opportunities.
According to the Aliens and Immigration Law 7 (I)/2019, full-time and regular Students from third countries are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week, outside their study hours and up to 38 hours per week during holidays (Christmas/Easter and Summer Holidays), subject to the rules and conditions applicable to the relevant activity. Students taking up employment must present to the Labour Office the employment contract.
The Industrial Placement period is a major part of a number of Programmes of Study. It is a progressive extension to the academic, practical and management skills developed during the Students’ studies at the College. The Industrial placement also allows Students to develop personal responsibility, reliability and confidence.
The College in collaboration with Lecturers, who are employed in the industry, advise Graduates how to obtain job placement. The Student Welfare & Activities Office advises Students on job applications.
