The Policy Statement

CTL Eurocollege provides its Students with high quality Education and prepares them for the tough challenges of the highly competitive labour market, offering them at the same time the knowledge of how to be responsible and efficient members of the Society.

A variety of Programmes is on offer in the Fields of Business, Hospitality & Tourism and Information Technology, in the Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree level, depending on the Programme!

CTL Students are of a diverse range of cultural, ethnic or ideological background and form a warm, tightly-knit hub of multiculturalism, which we call ‘The CTL Family’, a strong bond that significantly contributes to both their academic and personal development.

Historical Review

CTL Eurocollege was founded in 1991, as an Educational Institution of Higher Education. Its roots, however, go back to 1966, when The CTL Academy was founded in the now closed and occupied city of Famagusta; a Secondary Education School of high standards and excellent Academic achievements, renowned among its peers.

CTL Eurocollege inherited the aspirations and high set goals of its predecessor, to maintain an equally high level of Education, to treat all Students with respect and as mature Human Beings and of course to be an important Factor in Society.

Values

In order to fulfill its mission, the college has made the following commitments:
Student Focus and Success

To help our Students achieve their goals in an educationally productive environment that will lead them to academic and professional success, while encouraging independence of thought and enthusiasm for personal and academic growth and fostering an academic community in which the values, goals, and learning styles of all Students are recognized and supported.

Excellence & Technological Advancement

To ensure that all our services and infrastructure are of the highest standard possible, while keeping abreast of the latest global trends in technology and integrate them into our Programmes of Study when applicable.

Collaboration, Respect & Professionalism

To work closely with all members of the College Community and encourage a spirit of cooperation, while adhering to a code of transparency and accountability. To treat Staff and Students professionally, with respect to uniqueness in each and every one, while upholding the highest standard of ethics.

Academic & Social Engagement

To enhance and promote Student participation by fully engaging them as active learners and provide them with a broad range of educational experiences both inside and outside the classroom. To encourage Students and Staff at the same time to engage with Society at large and support its economic and social development.

Philosophy, Mission, and Vision

The College has an open admission policy and focuses on educational excellence. It strives to foster in Students the sense of responsibility for their own development, the understanding of their obligations as members of a democratic society, as well as the need for clear, analytical, reflective and critical thinking, resulting to the ability of effective expression and action!

Our Mission is to offer inclusive education and empower Students to achieve their goals by providing access to high quality, excellent and affordable higher educational opportunities. Our Vision is to help them achieve their learning goals and objectives as well as effectively face economic, social and environmental challenges, through very meticulously designed and market-oriented Programmes of Study.

Goals

The college has set the following goals in order to achieve its mission:

Career and Workforce oriented Programmes

To provide a relevant and coherent general education for all our Students, with transfer opportunities to other Institutions and preparing them to enter the workforce and its needs through our career and market-oriented Programmes. Regular evaluation and updating of courses, curricula and Programmes is the tool we use to always be in the front line.

Lifelong Learning & Research

To provide courses and Programmes that encourage lifelong learning, which are responsive to the needs of industry and business and engage Students and Lecturers in high quality Research, which among other things addresses directly or indirectly some real problems in the world and local society in order to provide solutions.

Innovative Pedagogy

To develop, encourage and support effective and creative approaches to teaching and learning. Apply a variety of appropriate innovative tools and methods, in order to make Students’ academic progress and development smoother and more efficient! Continual assessment of Student learning outcomes gives the feedback we need for that.

Student Support Services

To offer students appropriate support services through their academic and personal lives and effectively facilitate their progress through their chosen Programme of Study until graduation. Careful and detailed planning is the key to achieving it.
