Dr Elena Malkawi is Head of the Business Field, Assistant Professor, and a member of the Research Team at CTL Eurocollege, Cyprus. She holds a PhD and a BA in Economics and began her academic career in Novosibirsk, Russia, where she taught economics before joining CTL Eurocollege in 2010.
With extensive experience in higher education, Dr Malkawi teaches economics and management across undergraduate and MBA-level programmes. Her interdisciplinary research interests include human development, digital human skills, stress management, managerial decision-making, leadership effectiveness, employee motivation, and the evolving digital learning environment in higher education.
She has contributed to peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, international conferences, and collaborative research examining digitalisation, workforce development, business management, hospitality, tourism, and organisational behaviour. Her work bridges economic and management perspectives with contemporary challenges affecting people and organisations, closely supporting European priorities in digital transformation, lifelong learning, workforce resilience, educational innovation, and the development of future-ready human skills.
