CTL Eurocollege Head of Hospitality and Tourism, Dr. Vasilis Papavasiliou, visited the event organized by the Eratosthenis Centre of Excellence at the Cyprus University of Technology. This dynamic center, a leading institution in Cyprus for Earth Observation and Space Technology, conducts vital research and innovation activities aimed at addressing environmental and societal challenges. Through the EXCELSIOR H2020 Teaming Project, Eratosthenis collaborates with global partners to tackle issues such as climate change, disaster management, and sustainable development.

The center’s work is divided into specialized departments, including the Department of Resilient Society, which focuses on disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation, and building community resilience. Other departments concentrate on areas such as natural resource management, urban monitoring, and technological advancements in remote sensing. By using satellite data and Earth Observation technology, the Eratosthenis Centre of Excellence provides valuable insights and solutions that benefit both local communities and the broader region, making significant strides in environmental protection and sustainable development.
