The Student Welfare & Activities Office offers help, advice and guidance to Students on a wide range of issues, covering health to personal problems. It takes on the responsibility of easing the Students’ integration into their new academic and cultural environment, introducing them to unfamiliar aspects of local culture. The Office also deals with extracurricular activities and events, such as excursions, cultural visits, sports, parties, shows, and other social events, all of which helps to achieve maximum communication among CTL Students, and promote their talents and interests.
Pick up from the Airport service
The College provides a pick-up from the airport service for newly arrived students. Students need to inform the College they require this service when they first apply to study.
Housing Services
The College is responsible for assisting students who are relocating and need assistance securing accommodation
Student Handbook
The handbook is handed to all new students during their first registration. The handbook includes all necessary information a new student needs.
Orientation Day for new students
The Orientation Day for new students is organized on the last day before the beginning of classes. The date is announced in the Academic calendar of the current semester and published on the announcement board, the College website and Prospectus.
A second Orientation Day is organized for the students who arrive late, the day after the late enrollment date. The date is announced in the Academic Calendar of current semester and published on announcement board, the College website and Prospectus.

Support for new students
The College establishes a close relationship with each new student and orients them to its practices. The Student Welfare & Activities Office follows student progress regularly and guides them throughout the semester.
Wellbeing and support of student life
The College is responsible for the wellbeing of students and helps them adjust to student life, manage stress, resolve conflicts, deal with personal problems or face challenges in life.
Students can discuss matters related to their studies, progress and private life on an individual basis. In cases where the progress of a student is handicapped due to special circumstances, a personal approach is adopted when assisting the student to overcome the problem.

Employment Services
The College is responsible for making information regarding employment resources available to students.
The College policy is to encourage and support students, and put them in contact with appropriate areas of industry for meaningful, structured on-the-job training experience related to students' academic coursework or degree. This experience will align students' career goals and objectives with existing and emerging occupations for work-based learning opportunities.
Studying and Working - Immigration regulations for International Students
According to the Aliens and Immigration Law 7 (I)/2019, full-time and regular students from third countries are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week, outside their study hours and up to 38 hours per week during holidays (Christmas/Easter and Summer Holidays), subject to the rules and conditions applicable to the relevant activity.
Student taking up employment must present to the Labour Office the employment contract.
Industrial Placement
The Industrial Placement period is a major part of a number of Programmes of study. It is a progressive extension to the academic, practical and management skills developed during students’ studies at the College. The Industrial placement also allows student to develop personal responsibility, reliability and confidence.

The College in collaboration with lecturers working in the Industry advise the Graduates to obtain job placement.

Immigration procedures regarding International Students
Issue of Entry visa (Blue Slip – M70)
International non-EU new students must have a Blue Slip in order to enter the Republic of Cyprus.

The First Registration
International non EU students must have in their possession at least €2000 in cash on arrival at the airport.
Within the first week of their arrival in Cyprus, students must complete the First Registration procedure.
