I wish to welcome you all to this hour that is so special to us all.

My name is Sun Xiao Yun. For three years I have been following studies in Travel and Tourism Management and this is the culmination I have been looking forward to after a long time of hard work.

Allow me first to say congratulations to all the other students who are sharing this celebration with me.

I would like to offer my sincere thanks to all our teachers and staff of CTL  and our principal for all the hard work they perform, day in day out, for our benefit, thanks also to my classmates who have helped and shared the hard and the good times with me.

Coming from a far country studying here is not easy for foreign students, especially at the very beginning when we know no one. But with the help of our College teachers and staff and the special friends that we have made over the years, life here in Cyprus has proved to be a wonderful experience to hold on to. Cyprus is a small country, but offers the student a welcome friendship. It offers space, peace and calmness for the mind to concentrate on the job of learning. I hope that my fellow students here have experienced that and used it for the best.

Knowledge is essential. Knowledge is “food for the mind” and the most useful tool for a persons’ difficult walk through a career, through life itself, a life that usually is not an easy, a life full of good and sometimes not so good surprises.

CTL has offered us such knowledge generously. Our College has given us the opportunity to enjoy what many older people often say in retrospect, that they were the “best years of their lives”. It has been up to us to grab the knowledge offered, absorb it, and hopefully use it wisely in the future. It has been up to us to enjoy these joyous past years of study and learning.

I hope that all graduates here have shared this wonderful experience with me.
